window will scroll through the messages. The Left button selects the
message, and the Right button displays a menu of functions. Mouse

Use Alt-A to activate the Add-On Manager. To start an application from
within the mailer, use the key that corresponds to the scan code given.
Up to 10 items can be defined.
It is not a good idea to use certain keys as the application's hot key.
Keys such as SPACEBAR, ENTER, plus any other key already in use by View
should not be used as hot keys.
Most keys, including Shifted, Alt, or Ctrl keys, can be used as hot keys.
The mailbook is a good application to have set to a key (alt-m)

There are some things that will help users configure View for their
personal setup. First of all, there is an environment variable called
VIEWROOT. From DOS type C>SET VIEWROOT=C:\ or if you are using the -d
parameter in NOS, C>SET VIEWROOT=C:\KA9Q\ This will allow view to find
the various files if they are not in the root directory.
Windows and os/2 users might want to start View with the command line
parameter /w.
Example: C>view /w This will lessen the load caused by the on-screen.

View has a support program called MAILBOOK. This application will allow
you to maintain a little-black-book of people with their name, address,
phone number and email id.
Mailbook allows you to nicknames for people. It also allows you to create
lists of names and aliases. It takes the headache out of remembering those
long email addresses. Mailbook.exe should be in the nos ..\spool directory.
Mailbook is a view compatible application that can run either from dos,
or from within View itself.
